The Travelers and the Plane-Tree


TWO TRAVELERS, worn out by the heat of the summer's sun, laid
themselves down at noon under the widespreading branches of a
Plane-Tree. As they rested under its shade, one of the Travelers
said to the other, "What a singularly useless tree is the Plane!
It bears no fruit, and is not of the least service to man." The
Plane-Tree, interrupting him, said, "You ungrateful fellows! Do
you, while receiving benefits from me and resting under my shade,
dare to describe me as useless, and unprofitable?'


Some men underrate their best blessings.

My idea:
A family that has many problems faced:
1. A son who thinks he can see ghosts and will be possessed by spirits.
2. A problematic daughter who often stays out till late at night and wears all black with a hip-hop look, and hates her younger brother who she thinks he often lie about his "talent".
3. Their dad can't be bothered with anything that happens in the house. Often stays at office till 9pm.
4. The only person holding up the family is their mom. Sustaining and keeping them all together.

Problems were only able to be solved with mom started screaming at every one of them at the breakfast table.
1. Mom sends her son to psychiatrist.
2. Mom screams and cries in front of dad for being useless for not noticing his son has mental disorders.
3. Dad started to take charge of daughter so that mom can fully concentrate on son's psychiatrist appointments.
4. Dad had a heart to heart talk with daughter. Daughter changes for better and even helps mom in taking care of her brother.
